This blog is the record of a reading group set up in 2017 in Dublin City, Ireland, by artist SeoidÃn O'Sullivan. She set it up to explore 'women's labour' and 'reproduction' specifically through Federici's political lens. The aim is to unravel some of the complexity that artists, activists, culture-makers and researchers who are mothers have experienced in the balance and tension between these various roles. Texts so far have included extracts from: Silvia Federici Revolution at point Zero: Housework, Reproduction and the Feminist Struggle. (2012) bell hooks Homeplace: A Site of Resistance. (1990) Kylie Jarrett The Digital Housewife. (2016)
